came 2nd again in 2013

so basically have 1 great big fantastic payday every 3 years and then play like me all the rest of the time.

Any other golfers out there who rely on certain courses or particular tournaments to keep their careers going?

His lack of wins would suggest that, but in terms of prize money etc he obviously still does very well. Wish he could bring his Ryder Cup form to the tours!

Angel Cabrera - Performs well in Majors, (2 majors) often goes missing it seems to me on the lesser events. Not sure this is a good example as he doesn't 'rely' on a tournament as such, but he does bring his A game solely to majors.
