Has that incident caused irreparable damage to his career ?

Before the whole incident Dyson seemed a very consistent performer on the tour - you always seemed to see his name on leaderboards and won a number of comps

Since he returned from his ban he just doesn't seem to be able to do well in the comps - see him missing cuts regualry and a number of withdrawals -plus losing his sponsorships etc so is Dyson finished as a tour pro ?

Also when the incident happened there seemed to be a split between people believing he knew what he was doing and people thinking it was just a sub conscious mistake and he didn't really realise what he did - there was a lot of talk that a lot more about him would come out in the wash to confirm that he knew what he was doing and it wasn't the first time - did that stuff ever appear in the public domain or just all disappear ?

I think I read somewhere that he's injured and awaiting an operation. Possibly on a wrist/elbow condition.. Might be wrong though..

He's always been a fairly middle-ish player with occasional flashes and occasional disasters! So I don't believe he has changed particularly since 'that' incident. Fifth place (and nearly £200k) at last year's PGA would certainly have restored any lost confidence - and I seem to remember seeing something about that too.

I believe you are reading too much into his current round and the DQ and consequences. If you look at many other 'established', but not 'star' golfers, their record is probably pretty similar.

Btw. Returned from ban? That 'ban' was suspended for 18 months and is still active - for another week or so!

I read a mag article asking the same question to the man himself and he felt this season should be better after a frustrating couple of season. Injury changing clubs and the incident. Still plenty of whispers apparently from some corners of the locker room.

Yeah he pulled out with injury

Maybe it's just a perception thing

Before it all kicked off he seemed to be in the spotlight a number of times and talked about in terms of Ryder Cup - since then nothing , maybe he is still doing just as he used to but they deliberately avoid highlighting him in the media ?
