Where is the actual sweetspot on an iron. Asking 'cos watched a pro addressing the ball with toe well up.

There used to be a theory that the toe of an iron should sit ever so slightly off the ground, enough to slide a coin under.....I remember being told to do this.....???

The sweet spot is where you expect it to be.....in the middle.

That's not necessarily true though. On some clubs - especially blades - it's slightly towards the heel.

Crikey....I never knew that! That's why I struggled with Mizuno TP11s.....??

Moving towards the hozle also brings in a totally different issue too if you aren't too careful in your search for the sweet-spot.

Telepathy I fear.....you and me are thinking the same here. :)
