Nightmare Imurg, I was on annual leave on the 2nd - 5th and with the snow didnt leave the house at all until the Saturday and then that was to have a few jars at the clubhouse :( and felt like stringing myself up with my umbrella.

*sends Imurg golfing highlights excluding the Ryder 2008 one*

I've had larengitus for about a month now, and practically have no voice at all.

I can still play but for other peoples health I'm taking a few weeks off to recover. I hit a stray ball and tried to shout four, nothing came out at all! I was lucky and didn't hit the guy, but think i'll do the considerate thing of sitting out until the voice is back.

Get well soon to all the poorly forum members!

Seems everyone's ill at the moment. I had the flu, finally got rid of it & then got a stomach bug that had me shi**ing through the eye of a needle for 24 hours. Had a game scheduled for Friday but had to cancel as they don't do nappies in my size. Poxy time of year.

Rest & plenty of sports drinks (water is no good, you need to replace your electrolytes) & you'll be right as rain soon enough.

I've been struggling with a really bad headache for the last three or four days that just doesn't shift. Paracetemol (including Migraleve) get rid of the worse of the pain but it doesn't go completely. Not been sleeping well so wondering if it is just a tension thing and the coming break will sort me out.

Got a day off tomorrow so hopefully going to play but if it is too wet I'll go to the range instead. Might even dedicate an hour to my putting

Homer, this sounds like sinusitis. Had it last year and eventually had to go to GP as I could not shift it, the pain was directly above my eyes. Given antibiotics and was sorted within 24 hours..

Sadly I think it is just the start of a cold (or man flu) as I've had a bad sore throat all day, a temperature and the runny nose. Had the day off today but didn't play and stayed in a nice warm bed until about 1.00pm when I ventured to the sofa with a blanket and a lemsip.

I need to see how I go. Working in a hospital I am often going onto wards (even though I work in admin) and especially as my area includes the Winter bed wards and elderly care. Not good to be walking onto those with a full blown cold.

Still feel shite, stuck at work (shortstaffed or else I would have been home in bed for the last couple of days)..
But I am determined to get out tomorrow for a knock.
Weather down here is fantastic, just phoned the course and the Pro said it is in really good nick so will battle round I guess.
Good deal.......green fee of £20.00 includes a meal
;)

Icing on the cake would be if my new 3 & 5 woods turn up this afternoon...

Crawled in as we are seriously short staffed but confined to barracks aka the recruitment department so left to answer all the phones and deal with joe public coming in to ask about jobs or bring their ID docs in. Off tomorrow and out to play regardless.
