Played a Seniors Roll-Up Monday (I only just qualify...) and played with an 82 year-old. He may have struggled with a few of the uphill sections but he drove a mile!!!!
Needless to say, I allowed myself to be suckered into 'trying a bit harder' and promptly started splaying drives all over the place.
Turns out he's off 14 because 'I'm not as nimble as I was'.

While I totally admire the guy I would like him banned (from playing with me again anyway).

Hope for the future?

LOL... Like you I'm not in the first flush of youth, or the 2nd etc. To quote my son, who is a pro, "don't play the wily old barsteward for money. It may not be pretty but its effective." And this year is the first year he's given me any shots... halved again.

Taking money off kids is easy but you try getting it off us coffin dodgers :D keep trying ...

played with 2 last week, both in their mid 60's and always on the fairway and not that far behind my drives (50 yds sometimes which seems a lot but isnt as they are always there), then its a smooth 7 wood to the green and I'm smashing a wedge to maybe get on, so were both putting for birdie but there getting a stroke.
theres a lot to be said for playing within yourself
