Shops open

Also, where do people queue so they don’t block other shops? Could see that being a problem in those centres that have multiple levels where there are gaps down to the lower levels
As I said before just looking at my local centre, it is all one level and there is plenty of space within

I was in Bracknell town centre early this morning. The queue for Primark was ridiculous and looking at how many were already walking through town with a Primark bag they must have opened early. Can't see what their appeal is to make thousands of people across the company get out early and queue to buy stuff they probably don't need (and will probably hardly wear). On the plus side, the queue and SD was being observed and the store and the people on the door were being very stringent on how many were let in at any one time

Sports direct are offering 50% off everything for NHS staff one day only to try and recoup some lost brand loyalty at the start of the outbreak. May explain the queue?
I would hope that the NHS workers would have a little more common sense than to join the masses....

The only time I have been in a shop centre in recent weeks is after 6pm because it is good place to walk without any people around.

I wonder what it is going to be like now?

With my injuries one of the biggest things to start them off is standing around on hard surface for ages barely moving so I cannot see myself going shopping for anything other than food for a very long time.

Currently at our local centre, Telford. They have done it pretty well. There are lanes for general waling so everyone goes the same way and designated queuing sections for each shop. Some smaller shops (Game for example) have staff at the front and you tell them what you want, they fetch it and pay at the entrance. It’s relatively quiet so all is working well, hopefully it will still be effective as things get busier.

Virtually all shops open over here now. Most have a bod at the door to dispense a squirt of hand sanitizer and in many cases take your temp (so a trip to a shopping centre can easily mean your temp taken 5 or 6 times and hands positively reeking of hand gel) If no staff at door then a liquid dispenser is located at the entrance with signs etc... and you wont get in without a mask

No Q's and pretty much everything in stock
