Thanks James, although now well into my sixties, not sure if i will score like that in 7 years time, I've never hit my irons as sweet as I did yesterday, I had 6 birdies including 3 birdie 2's and also struck two other irons to 3 feet and 4 feet, I'm playing again Wednesday be interesting to see if that form continues or comes down to earth with a bump that only Golf can do

My FIL shot his age twice in his 70s at his home course which was a challenging par 72. He was also the longest serving member, having joined after being demobbed after WW2, and was there until his death at the age of 92 in 2017 (sadly he had to give up playing in his mid-80s due to arthritis).

God knows what he made of my cack-handed attempts when I took the game up a year or two before he passed.
