a little advice needed please.

should i use normal shoe polish on my shoes?

i seem to recall being told that i should not use any form of dubbing for the first 12 months, is this correct?

Clean the crud off the spikes, wipe off the muck from the uppers, let them dry naturally. It's OK to use Nikwax or something similar to maintain the water-resistance (I checked this with Callaway Europe), polish just makes them look nice.

I'm shocked at some of the shoe "care" described above. :D

My Dryjoys are not only the most expensive shoes I own, they're the only ones that I will regularly walk 5 miles in in the wet.

Get crud off using blower, wipe down with a damp cloth and leave to dry naturally then work in some leather cream, followed by a bit of polish and spray with a protective spray.

I know,I know, it's over the top but I reckon they're probably the most important bit of kit I take on the course.

Clean my shoes every time I wear then, wipe off all the dirt with damp cloth then polish with a good quality polish which if done properly helps keep the shoes waterproof as will as just making them look nice?

If they are black, a wipe over with a damp cloth to get all the mud off, allow to dry naturally and then give them a right good seeing to with a good quality black polish.
If they are white? Just a wipe with a damp cloth does it for me.

Murph just ignore all the info above. A wise man once told me that if you clean your golf shoes it wears the leather away and they dont last as long :D

Anyway don't we have these things called wives/girlfriends to do that for us?

I do. She's just done the irons and is sorting out my black shoes for tomorrow as I type. Happy days :D

NO WAY???? damn, your the man. My wife cooks and cleans and really looks after me but she would laugh in my face if I asked her to clean my shoes or clubs.
