This is because for about 6 months we were butchered by some little scrote hackers and trolls who nearly ruined the forum, mate. By working it this way we've almost eradicated that problem.

Jahmoo. I wasn't 'knocking' the other site. Just surprised at how quiet it was. Okay this place has it's times, but I think the decision not to have too many sub forums was the right one. The flow on here works quite well now.

Personally I like how the "other"c forum works much better. I always use the "latest post" and "active topics" to access the new content. Over on GMagic you can bounce back and forward in and out of the latest posts as often as you like. It drives me to absolute distraction to be unable to do that hear because of the time restraint on using active topics.

As for one site being better than the other, well, I'll keep out of that one. As far as I can see both sites are frequented by golfer who're, almost without exception, the kind of people I like, so you're all alright by me. Won't stop me kicking your asses in the Ryder Cup though!

This wasn't a topic on which is better. Heaven forbid. But as I said, I was bored!

I can understand the whole mod thing though. Forums are very easy places to hijack and dominate. I'll tinker with the other GM forum. After all I have found a couple of threads that I think I was able to be helpful with.

I'm also hoping to see if there are any more folks local to me for a round or two as well. Good to 'see' some familiar faces over there though. As for the 'groups', you'll get them on any forum. Just as in real life. I don't get on with everyone on here, and I'm sure that will also be the case elsewhere. Though it really doesn't bother me. I've met some great people through this forum already.

It was, every Thread he joined, ended in a slagging match, so decided to move away, but being a member of The Shamblers on GM means I have made a lot of good friends, who meet up a lot in the year.

It's fair to say then that he was constricting every thread then.
