I'm playing at Sharpley next weekend for the first time, and just wondered if anyone here has played there - is it any good, is it long, condition of the course etc? All I know is there is a lot of water ....must remember to take plenty of baws!

Cracking course, make sure you play off the whites tho, makes it more interesting (it's allowed)

not it a very long course but can be quite tricky

I wish you luck on the 8th, you'll know what I mean when you play it!

Drains really well and is quite a short course with hardly any rough.

Some of the greens and pin placements are questionable at times.

Also if you are playing at a weekend it can be a little on the slow side.

Totally agree with this after the weekend. Although some of the slopes on the greens are 'interesting' and give a unique challenge, I'm afraid that some of the pin placements are laughable. When you have an uphill putt, and if you leave it anywhere short of the hole the ball rolls back at you 20 ft down the slope then this is just wrong. I'm all for making the greens a bit of a challenge in order to make a short course a bit tougher, but the green staff must be tripping when they position some of the flags.

I dread to think how bad it will be in summer when greens are fast and cut short

You will be talking about the 8th green it's a total joke of a green it spoils it I think with greens/pins in daft place turns into crazy golf
