Anyone recommend a share selling site. Just had a dividend come through for £2.30. Hardly seems worth it keeping.
The shares are valued at £770 but the “ recommended “ company wants £45 for selling, them is that the norm.
Cheers me dears.

Is it Equiniti? I only ask as my MiL has a few bits and pieces of shares - not worth much - and Equiniti is the company, it is implied, that will sell them. But if that’s not the case and I can take her business elsewhere…

It is 👍 and it’s a pita to try and use the site. It says on the back of the dividend paper to call if there is problems logging in. I did and they want even more for telephone sales.

That company (from memory) wanted a small fortune just for to me to transfer some shares from my wife's name to my name when she died. Something I never did, in the end the bank bought them back from me for full value. (They were giving a 6.25% yield and had tried several times to buy them for well below face value).

I used to sell mine to the local branch of the bank but they stopped doing share dealing, may be worth checking the banks in your area.
