Second Hand Cars. Smiffy?

With the peugeot, i had a bad experience with a 1.6 turbo diesel in that the turbo went twice and was about a grand each time to get it fixed.

Apparently a known problem and we got it replaced mates rates.

2.0 turbo diesel are fine, only the 1.6 where the issue is.

All you have to do is replace the petrol Picasso with a diesel one........ Ours does 50mpg with HID blasting up the A41 4 times a week...I can get 60 out of it...
And the later 1.6 engines have all the poke you really need...

Ugly though, ain't they?
:( :( :( :( :( :(

I've got the 407 2.2 diesel 170 sport on a 56 plate and get a combined of about 46. Plenty of room in the boot for your bats.

However I did have an Octavia before and the boot is cavernous and the quality of the car excellent.

Given the choice again I'd plump for the Skoda every time.

Yeah but its a car innit...?
Once you're inside you can't see the outside anyway..

Balls to all that. Go to your boss (In fact we all should) and say words to the effect of, I'm pi$$ed off with having to make cuts in my standard of living to make end meet. It's about time I had a proper frickin' pay rise to pay for all these increases in the costs of living.

Jesus H Christ... butter has gone up from about £1 to £1.30 to £1.50. That's a frickin' lot!!!! And our government continues to send our frickin' money all over the world.

Beats me

Thanks for the replies, Smiffy, I'm stickign with what I have got for the time being.

Hadn't considered putting a diesel engine in mine, any ideas how much that is likely to cost?

I do not think I would ever buy a car from Smiffy...

I am sure I would go in for a second hand 1.0L runabout to take me to the shops and the golf club and come away with a Veyron or something.
