HiD loves her fish and I enjoy most so long as filleted, cant be doing with all the faffing about. Both of us give shellfish a miss.
I love fish. but France smells of fish, yes I did say fish.I disagree 100%. You are missing out on some of the best gastronomic experiences on the planet.
Nothing nicer than a huge cold shellfish platter at a decent Parisian brasserie. La Coupole is one of my favourites. Also love it at Brasserie Mollard. Fantastic places. Really worth the trip and the cost.

Oysters there are expensive but amazing, especially the Gillardeau variety. Lovely when washed down with a nice Sancerre.
The good old days, did you get your photo took when you were there , I still have my barra's photo from 1962 with two old [now deceased] pals.
The barras you used to scratch for a week after a visit.
Muy dad used to take me to the Barra's most Saturdays when I was a kid. Loved it. He was always on the look out for tools (he was a cabinet-maker). Never got any photo's taken - why would he I suppose.
The camera of the day was a box brownie which produced a 3x3 black and white photo, so a good large print was good to have.Still have mine with my drainpipe trousers and long fingertip length jacket. No bum freezers in them days.Muy dad used to take me to the Barra's most Saturdays when I was a kid. Loved it. He was always on the look out for tools (he was a cabinet-maker). Dressed crab bought undressed from Folkestone where I work. Takes a while to dress it but the eating always seems to make it more worthwhile
I had them years ago , but my ex wife didn't like them .I'm sure there's T'interweb sites for weirdo's who dress up crabs
