Scottish Golf Show

Visited golf show today got a few bargains also bought one of the towel & club cleaners all in all wasn't to bad a day, got a hit with most of the new gear walked away with my golf vouchers, pass for Johnnie Walker and a free ball.

Went today and unless you were thre to try and/or buy it was pretty rubbish! Plus £4 for parking in a field was shocking.

Had some hits at Ping, Yonex, Callaway & TaylorMade/American Golf and got conflicting advice at every one! Perhaps it shows how erratic my game actually is....

Funniest was at TM/American Golf where I was told I needed regular shaft with 10.5 loft, then HL, then HL at 12, then back to where I started. Ended up with the baffled guy recommending lessons! Lol

My swing must be erratic then but at least the guy tried.

Impressed with RBZ at address with the white head and black face

Was there this afternoon and tried a few things ie beat the pro at putting, WOW i liked the feel of the spider putter, had a shot of drivers and wedges, and thought the callaway copper wedge felt great to hit.

I was not impressed with it this year, very average I have to say.

It was OK if you wanted to hit some new gear, only thing I fancied trying was the RBZ woods but there was a massive queue waiting so didnt bother.

Last year there was more independents selling interesting stuff, clothing, gadgets etc. and I felt like it missed them, might as well have gone and wandered about an American Golf store for half an hour.

However, it was of course worth it to get the 3 free rounds, free ball and to sign up for the free round at Macrahanish and purely for that reason I will be back next year again no doubt!

Sub70 were there and they have some nice gear and Golf Poser had two small stands, one for Puma and one for Galvin Green

Slanj also had their wonderful tartan trousers which seemed to be doing well

Slanj trousers are awesome but they're far far far too expensive!

Popped in later yesterday to collect the vouchers, didn't need to pay the parking and most of the independent stall holders were bartering their goods...my pal bought a new circa 62 for £95!
No queues at any of the ranges so had a few go's at each.

i thought it was ok likes, first time ive gone but only really when for the free golf which to me was worth the 15 quid alone. spent about an hour and a half there but would have had to wait ages to try things out as there was to many folk already waiting, and for me none of the club manufactures that were there appealed to me, would of tried out some nike or mizuno clubs if they had been there.
