Scottish Golf Show

Only been to one show before (last years), was alright, wandered around for an hour collected the free vouchers and off I went. Will pretty much be the same format this year!! Worth the journey for the free vouchers in my opinion!

Might be cutting it a bit fine to receive the vouchers by post now

Not going
went two years ago and i'm still on about a zillion mailing lists and i get nothing from them!

have no desire to play Westerwood and have friends at the glen - which is only a tenner for me to play and at Craigielaw (which i dont particularly like)

Its worthwhile going once i reckon ;)

I will be going well worth the £15.00 entry fee and enjoy the chance to have a look at all the latest gear. Got to be a bargain to be had somewhere, I think they are alternating the venue between Glasgow & Edinburgh been to a few shows now and always enjoyed them always worth a walk about and the free rounds of golf makes it worthwhile.

the 'extras' seem worth £15 but I went to the show twice over 4 years and didnt enjoy it unfortunately. I hope its improved at Edinburgh.

Seems to be exactly the same exhibitors! Its useful if you want a hit, i already had a yonex driver and was keen to get a 3 wood, so i was able to hit all the combos they had, then got £40 quid off.

so, I'd go again, if I needed anything...but I dont!

I've got a couple of comp tickets but with all that ha been said above I may not bother!

Only a 20 min drive away for me so might go?

Will I, won't I?

What's the parking like?

I've never been to one so will be interesting to go. Got my tickets last week.

Will nip over on friday afternoon, collect my free stuffs and have a nosey. I don't need anything at all golf wise, not after today anyway so just a spot of window shopping and voucher collecting for me.

my advice is dont take the wife/girlfriend.. some of the models parading around the place in their mini kilts can put a man off what he is attending the golf show for.

if it wasnt for the ticket giveaway, i dont think their would be many attending

Dropping HID at work and little 'un at nursery. Playing a round at Cambuslang, bacon butty then head to the show. Pick up my vouchers, hit some of the new Nike irons maybe try a new Nike driver. Try on some over-priced clothes and pick up some lakeballs. Grab a pint on the way home

That'll do for a Friday off work....

I popped along to the show at lunchtime today, was quite busy (mainly with older (I assume retired) folk) for a Friday. Show was as I expected, passed half an hour wandering round, collected my vouchers and pass for Johnnie Walker and signed up for the free round at Macrahanish Dunes (apparently they post the voucher out).
Also, as I lost my towel on Thursday I bought one of these for £6 http://www.direct-golf.co.uk/golf_accessories/vicarious/towels_v_golf_towel/p9286.aspx
Looks a bit gimmicky but for 6 quid I'll give it a try.
Looked like there was quite a few good deals on shoes and clothes but I didn't look too closely as I didn't want tempted as I don't need anything.
Could probably have spent more time there having a bash with some clubs or having a go on the Tiger challenge etc but headed back to work, hope anyone going over the weekend enjoys!
