I think the time has come for this clown to be thrown out of F1. He could have killed another driver and the time has come for his colleagues to call time on his stupid antics and force him out the sport. He and his team tried to defend his actions but I think that is just a sign of the times where nobody is ever at fault no matter what happens.

Its time he was chucked because he has lost the egde he is a danger to himself and other drivers.

He always was a cock, and he always was dangerous. He is now combining that with driving very slowly. Chuck him out, he won't be missed.

That was a disgrace and he should be kicked out of the sport for that. If the wheels had touched, barichello would have been airborn and his car could have flown into the pitlane and killed someone or barichello could have been killed.

How barichello didnt storm into schumachers garage and punch his lights out I will never know.

Mercedes have invested lots in this twisted face german, to the detriment of Nico Rosberg. They changed the car for Schumy when they really should have backed Nico and all to Mercedes loss.

The good thing is, everyone knows Nico is by far the better driver and everyone knows Schumy is as bent as his coupon.

Painful...

;)

He should have been banned for the next race with a suspension/revoking of his super licence if he did something similar again. An example needs to be made because if it's ok for one driver to stick someone in the wall then it sets a very bad precedent indeed.

I'd given up on watching the race, boring one-pass processional track. Nipped out to Wickes and as the radio was tuned to the race commentary just caught this incident. The commentators were scathing, comments such as 'you can see from the position of Schumachers head that he was watching Barricello, there's no way he could say it wasn't intentional'. They thought he could/should be black flagged.

So did FIA bottle another one?

I heard later from a Barricello interview that there is no rule against a driver deliberately endangering anothers life in this way.

Not only did he deny that it was intentional, he basically called Barichello a cry baby for complaining about it in the interview after the race.

For almost causing a serious incident, from the FIA

"Michael Schumacher has received a ten-position grid penalty after Sunday's Hungarian grand prix.

I think that a few of you are overreacting. MSC made a mistake in the late squeeze, but calls to kick him out of the sport is ludacris. I mean, it's very unlikely to ever happen anyway, with him being the most successful F1 driver ever.

As for somebody claiming that Nico is a better driver, that really made me laugh. Nico will be remembered by nobody. MSC is the greatest there is.

I would beg to differ. Schumacher won 7 world titles based on a certain degree of supreme talent yes, but he also had team-mates who were essentially his gimp, plus he always had the superior machinery in winning these titles.

Now he doesnt have superior machinery he is being showed up and out performed by his team-mate consistently.

Yes he was the most successful Grand Prix driver ever but that move yesterday was the most dangerous thing I have ever seen in 30 years of following F1. It made some of Andrea de Cesaris' stunts in the early 1980s look tame.

A 10-place grid penalty is a slap on the wrist. That deserved at least a one or two race ban.

Schumacher has been a joke this season and is leaving people with tainted memories of a great career. He needs to walk away now.

Re: Schumacher ...... What a tosser

MedwayJon. There will always be people saying that he had this, he had that. Fact of the matter is that he is the most successful racer ever, not due to teammates but because of his driving ability and nobody looks like coming close to him.

Let's get it right, it was a mistake, but he's not going to walk. British sensationalism goes into overdrive as usual. I guess some people don't like winners.

:D There is no way that that move was a mistake!

That manoeuvre was clearly deliberate.

If, according to the interview, deliberately endangering others lives is not ruled against, then why the 10th position starting ban?

Something isn't right here.

Personally, I think 'Shoemaker' is a tosser!

Bootmender is a winner, but at least one of his titles belongs to Damon Hill. The guy is a dangerous cheat. Always has been.

Re: Schumacher ...... What a tosser

It was clearly a deliberate move. Barrichello said so immediately on his radio. Its another case of the FIA having to be seen to do something so deciding on the most ineffective punishment possible.

Schumacher is a spent force. Its like watching a favourite golfer (Baker-Finch, Campbell etc) go from major winner to hacker. I was never a Schumacher fan and was only ever convinced of his ability as a wet weather driver where he had no equal. However on a dry track he was a bully who was given the best of everything by the team to ensure he won. I would like him to do the decent thing and call it a day at the end of the season but think his ego will make him sign up for next year
