Nice quote from Barichello;-

"I like a fair fight. But that wasn't fair here," the Williams driver said. "If Michael wants to go to heaven - in the event that he is going to heaven - then I don't really care. But I don't want to go before him."

Nice subtle dig...

In my opinion he's allowed to defend his line if it's for position and that's that. If the media hadn't made a song and dance about it we'd be none the wiser. Barichello didn't have to go down the wall side, he chose the harder route, what does he expect ...a free pass?

There is a difference between defending your line and driving someone into the wall.

Not that Juan-Pablo Montoya ever figured that out in NASCAR.

Very true but he wasnt defending his line, moved over to try and block him from going through. It's not Stock Cars mate.

He is allowed to defend his line yes, but he is not allowed to have a car along side him and then attempt to squeeze him into the wall to force him to slow down.

It is downright dirty and he should be banned.

Unfortunately F1 is the most corrupt and hypocritical sport there is, it is a total joke sometimes and thats why he wont.

Why is it a joke? Because at every other track the safety laws are enforced and modifications had to be made, but not monaco, oh no, we couldnt deprive the tax-exiles their jolly-up could we.

But Jon.
It's the "peoples sport".
If you're quick (and I mean very quick) you can get a decent discount on a ticket for next years British Grand Prix.
By booking on-line and using the "earlybird discount" you can get in for £116.00. You won't get a seat. Or a pit lank walkabout. But you will get to stand next to a hot dog stall and watch the car whizz by. And you can wave at Michael.
That's got to be a bargain hasn't it?????
