Saving

Find some mugs who think they are better at golf than they really are. Play them regularly and keep all your winnings in a jar. Job done :D :D :D

On a serious note, my club lets you pay monthly for your following years subs.

Iv got a moneybox the same shape as a golf ball....Christmas present from the kids i put 10€ a week into it for 12 months and i usually only have to add maybe 100€ come subs time.....Simples... :D

I try and save as much as I can each year and then put the rest on the CC and pay it off over the year. With HID being redundant at the start of the year I've not saved as much as I'd hoped. Might consider the DD option this year although the club add on some kind of admin fee on top

I am crap at saving to be honest so i opt for the monthly payments which suit me better.

Our club do charge a small fee for using a direct debit which is a lot less than the intrest you'd pay by banging it on a credit card so for the convenience of DD i dont mind paying that little bit extra.

£10 a week goes into a little tin I hide away from the wife :) :) (she knows about it but doesnt know where I keep it) and then I add my work xmas bonus to it. Paid my subs, locker and a few lessons this year and hopefully will do the same next year.

Cheers colin i know where it is, thanks for the offer of a round too.

I dont think it will be soon though as my mrs is due to have a baby this thursday so my golf plans are on hold for at least a week!
