Samsung Galaxy Tab

Down load an ad blocker. Samsung do one, but there are others.
Ive tried a few without success, seems like Google Play bypasses them somehow. I have turned off the add settings but all they seem to do is keep sending random ads rather than targeted ones. It's a real pain.

To enable the pop-up blocker in the Android browser, launch the browser app, then tap the “Menu” icon. Open the Settings menu, then click the “Advanced”tab. In the Advanced Settings screen is a “Block Pop-ups” section that enables the feature.

Thanks but it does not block adverts, it only stops them being targeted to your browsing history.

Have you cleaned all the cathe, history, cookies etc away?
Google doesnt send out stuff like you say youre getting, and my Galaxy Tab3 doesnt get them either.

I think google posts adds when using the android operating system.

It would not get far as an operating system if it just peppered you with ads all day. Google does not do this in their Android operating system. Adds popping up randomely are always the result of an app you have installed, it is just a question of finding which one is doing it.

If you look at Samsung help on Adds it explains that Google will place adds on your system, it explains that you can select an option to stop them being targeted to your browsing history but you will still receive them but they will be random. Google develops the Android system so has direct access to it. The adds also show they are presented by Google Play. I would not have purchased the Tablet if I had known this would happen.

As I said earlier, my Galaxy Tab 3 doesn’t get this, and I suspect they are probably identical bar the apps.

I have had a tab 2 for ages, and it does not do this. I have a S9+ phone, which has recently started doing this, but after deleting a few apps, it has stopped.
