Saint Teresa of Calcutta

Was watching a film the other day about the church/ ministers abusing kids in the Boston area ( USA ) excellent film to watch, with a disturbing story. However at the end of the film there was a list of all of the places throughout the world on every continent where child abuse by the church was rife. It was on a massive scale and truly disgusting to read. When you see and read that, then hear of the good word the church is trying to spread, well let's just say the church has a hell of a lot of bridges to build.

I watched that recently myself, Spotlight. An excellent film.

Not really a great fan of made-up saints - that's why I'm a non-conformist - and non-conformist churches generally interpret what the bible says in that "all who believe are saints", rather than the conformist/catholic view that says "some believers are saints to be revered above others".

So 'Saint' Teresa? I am afraid that I just shrug. Though she did a lot of great work by all accounts - notwithstanding some pretty 'hardline' views
