I am absolutely disgusted that something like this has happened in Orkney. Things like this just didnt happen when I was growing up (and I'm only 32) but now serious crime seems to be happening more and more. Not mentioned in the story but the guy in the picture was wroking behind the till, the would be robber pointed the knife at him and told him to open the till but he refused. The robber then reached across to try and open the till himself and the guy behind the till grabbed the nearest thing to him, a sellotape dispenser, and skelped the guy over the head with it. The robber then legged it empty handed. The real sad thing is he'll probably get a slap over the wrists and community service which he probably wont do.
