So guys whos applied and what you hoping for? I notice today is the day we find out, the excitement is unbearable, really hope i'm one of the lucky ones. At £400 and odd quid I have went for the full Thursday to Sunday experience, its a little steep, but will be well worth the experience IMO.

After registering etc I decided not to apply for three reasons....

1) price
2) if for any reason I couldn't make it next year I couldn't sell or pass on the tickets as your picture is on them!
3) best place to watch the RC is a 60" HD screen (I'll go to the practice days to savour the atmosphere and see the stars)

Agreed - with point 3 more than any of them as I just feel I'd miss so much of the detail being there in person although of course miss out on the atmosphere.

£400 thanks but no thanks. Watch on TV safely out of the way of the cold and rain.

No bothered about the rain but £400 to watch a group of golfers that's going to be 10 deep. No thanks. With accommodation in the area going to be ridiculously priced I reckon for the week you are looking at £1000 including food and drink.

watching golf with 10 deep is bad enough, but then you should be bothered about the rain, because everyone sticks a brolly up and anything more than 2 deep means you can't see anything.

the chance of it raining in perthshire in october has to be pretty high - spectating is going to be a thankless task, so i've gone for practice days instead.

I've got a pair of tickets for the Sunday, well the money's been taken out of my account for them anyway. Strange I've had no confirmation email yet...
