Ruling Please

Interesting as "stones" are loose impediments and therefore can be moved, but if in doing so your ball moves, you are penalised 1 stroke.

But not sure if boulders count as stones or not. Will be interesting to hear what the rules guys say.

Didn't Tiger get fans to move a boulder a few years ago?

Imagine waking up one morning to see your 12th fairway like that - clearing them will require a bit more sweat than 'pine-pulling'

One of the best & most beautiful courses I've played, I'm sure it will be back to its former glory by summer time.
The residents affected by the recent floods unfortunately will take a lot longer.

A little farther down river nearer Aberdeen(approx 30 miles).
Some of the damage to the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, the water was up to the balcony level, the buildings are approx 100yds from the river

Ballater Golf Club 12th fairway after the floods of last couple of weeks Hmmm. I'm guessing I'd get relief - but where to drop?

I've played at Ballater Golf Club several times and thought it was a lovely course, particularly down by the river. A great shame about the flooding. I hope not too much permanent damage has been caused. I also stayed in a house in Golf Course Road last Autumn that was also probably flooded. I hope things get sorted out for the local residents and the golf club. :(
