Royal Dornoch is quite simply amazing.

From the service in the Pro Shop, to the best starter I have ever encountered, everything is top notch.

I managed a round of +13 so to handicap, and loved every moment.

The course isn't quite as penal as you might expect however, if you do stray high numbers are lurking.

The highlights of my round were hitting the perfect 2 shots to find the fairway and green on the "Foxy" 14th, and holing a downhill right to left 15 footer for par on the 18th.

I cannot describe properly how nice it was in words, so here are some pictures!

Did you bring teh weather up from Shropshire with you ? I think uu missed your calling mate, as your photos are not too shabby at all.

Yeah the weather behaved itself! As I putted out on the last it started to rain too! Then when we came home the torrential rain started so not all that bad! :D

Thanks for saying that about the photos! It is the only artistic skill I have. My dad used to be an art/photography teacher so I have been brought up with them.
