A lot of people post about dispersion when driving. What exactly is it? At first I thought it was to do with length now I'm wondering is it more a left to right measurement.

Yep.
One ball goes 5 yards left of centre, second ball goes 5 yards right of centre. You have a dispersion of 10yards.

Surely is a distance and left/right thing? One ball goes 5 yards left of centre and long 5 yards, another goes 5 yards right of centre and drops 5 yards; you have a dispersion of 14 yards. Non?
