RIP Bill Withers

Absolute total legend.

Ain’t no sunshine is just up there with the best ever

Lean on me, is superb

Lovely day will still be being played in 200 years time

Certainly made his mark
RIP

I remember one February day years ago driving to the funeral of a friend who died suddenly in his early 30's. It was a typical grey day and suddenly the clouds cleared and the sun split the sky, one of those beautiful crisp winter days. At the same time, Lovely Day came on the radio. Very poignant, I'll never forget it.

RIP Bill.

Great songs and Lyrics.
Interesting career……….wrote about four 'pension' songs then walked away from it all.

Lean on Me is very adapt for these difficult times.
We should all sing it from our doorsteps next Wednesday

I had actually been enjoying Bill Withers Greatest Hits on my car CD player for a good few months before driving stopped. And I had discovered this beautiful and wistful gem...now if only I had it on vinyl...

Whilst I appreciate the sentiment, I can't think of anything worse than it being slaughtered by a bunch of enthusiastic but incompetent amateurs, sorry.
