Just heard the sad news that Richard Briers has died aged 79. One of my favourite comic actors, and will always be remembered for playing the part of Tom Good, in The Good Life.

i liked him in ever decreasing circles,seemed a proper nice bloke and a superb classic actor as well as his comedy stuff.

I saw Richard Briers and Paul Eddington in a play, think it was called The Home, shortly before Paul Eddington died. Both with superb, but it was quite haunting seeing a man so obviously very ill on stage. Prefer to remember them both for their great tv work.

Rhubard and Custard will never seem the same. Great and versatile actor. Did some fantastic work both on TV and stage. Very sad
