Morning All,
I was clearing the outhouse and found a set of MacGregor Tourney blade irons in a bad state and the thought crossed my mind to restore them. I know the grips need to be fully replaced and there are signs of rust on the stafts which I think can be removed, so not all that bleak.

Does anyone have any advice of restoring clubs?

The heads look pretty good tbh, I think they could do witgh been grinded a little and polished. I was thinking of having them in chrome with the lettering thats engraved red. Just been looking at new shafts but I am not sure of the size at the bottom. Might try and sort the shafts myself and get the regripped, will ask the pro today.

Parmo, if I say so myself I am a bit of a master at getting older iron heads looking new and the secret is wet and dry paper.

Start of with a coarse 600 or 800 and get all the pitting out and remove all the rust, scuffs and marks. Once you are happy with the initial results then you move onto a finer 1200 or 1400 for an amazing satin finish.
