I have an Ipod nano that has lots of music on it that I would like to recover to put on to my phone plus new computer.

Problem is the Ipod nano was sync on an old laptop I no longer have which won’t let me sync on the new one unless I reset it which means losing all my stuff on it. Is there any programs out there that will allow me to recover everything from it so can use it on my new and be able to then transfer them over to my phone as well??

Or you can do it by using the "hidden files" function in windows.

When you plug your iPod into a "new" computer when iTunes boots up it should give you the option to "sync and reset" or cancel. You obviously want to cancel.

Make sure the iPod is set for use as a data device then go into Windows Explorer and click to explore the iPod. Select to view hidden files from "tools">"Folder options" then under the "View" tab.

this will make a folder called "iPod Control" appear, all your music is stored in the music folder within this folder.

Copy that to your desktop, then import that folder into iTunes and bob is your mum's brother.
