Hi All

I'm looking for a driver i can do a bit of experimenting with...

I had a go on a trackman type thing earlier this week, apparentley i hit up on the ball a fair bit, launch angle was 14.5 degree on average, with a 9.5 degree driver, i also genreated a fair bit of spin 3500

So im looking for a driver with low loft, a smaller head (preferably deep faced) with a fairly stiff shaft as standard for not too many £'s

Not too much to ask

Any ideas .....

Just get yourself a decent adjustable second hand driver that you can have a mess around with if you are that way inclined. The TM drivers from the R9 onwards all are adjustable in some way.

Personally I dont think it makes to much difference unless you are a v good player and produce exactly the same swing every time.....all this adjust ability is a bit of a gimmick imo but it will add confidence if you hit it well.

The 910D2 is adjustable and has interchangeable shafts, no?

Have you tried a stiffer / lower launching shaft in it? That might be the cheapest way to go.

I'm sure that Ethan will be along shortly :)

Forgive my ignorance what is stiffer than a stiff shaft or what should you be looking for , im in the market for a driver aswell so very intrested in this thread ,, tried the Ping Anser 9.5* yesterday.. don't feel it gives me any extra , waiting to test the G25 & RBZ stage 2 so I also look forward to replys to this one ..

Smaller head? Go for the 910 D3, awesome driver and if you are used to the shaft currently then you can always chuck it in the d3 head too.

SRL

With the titleist, you could look at a shaft change, as has been suggested. Try a Project X or Adila Rip

I'd only advise a PX if your an aggressive swinger. It offers zero feel or feedback. A horrible shaft from my fated experience. If your a smooth swinger try an Oban Devotion or even a Grafalloy Red.

(certainly both worked better for me!)

Thanks for the replies guys, even Gareth's contribution

Monty yep your right i can adjust the 910 and change shafts i have decreased the loft down to 8.75 since,
i think a stiffer shaft would help i only have the stock stiff it at the moment

Though i would also like to try a smaller headed driver, to help get the spin rate down to

The D3 is at the top of the list at the moment srl, if anybody knows of any other smaller headed drivers that i can pick up second hand...

what head size is that darth?

good price ....

Cant seem to find that online, I'd imagine its still 460cc but with a black head and dark face it doesn't 'look' big if you get my drift. The TM superfast driver is probably the most fun I've had with a driver.
P.S only selling as I have 2 (plus the R1 and Ping Rapture V2):smirk:
