Hi guys

I'm off to Lisbon in June with the girlfriend and the in laws. He's a keen golfer so I'm looking to arrange a couple of rounds for us when we are there. Not sure where we are staying yet, just have flights booked at the moment.

Nothing too difficult but somewhere that offers a challenge and is 'a bit special', and ideally with spa facilities etc for the girls.

Cheers

I like Areoira a lot. 36 holes in nice pine trees and a good challenge but not impossible.

If you want a bloody difficult (but excellent) course, Troia is the one to go for.

They are both south of the city.

North of the city, I hear Penha Longa is good, but have only played Praia d'el Rey, which about an hour north. Nice semi-links course.

Excellent, thanks for your help mate. I'll check those out now!

Penha longa is excellent, but does not drain well at all. I have stayed and played there a lot, and would no longer go anywhere near it until late summer. After the winter we have had, it will be under water.

Oitavos dunes is nice, but flipping expensive. Even the buggies are pricey.

Big thumbs up for Praia del Rey and Penha Longs from me. Also played Quinta da Marinha which was nice but nowhere near the other two.
