I dont think the R1 shafts will fit the previous models due to the extra number of options it has on lofts..

ahh poo, cheers Scott, I like the Matrix Ozik 6 shaft on my TM superfast so thought it could be good on the R1 as its not as stiff as the RIP Phenom I'm led to believe

You could always remove and swap the tips.
