Rapist taxi driver paroled

I think the point he was making is that if rapists are being allowed to roam the streets then it is a problem with the sentencing and parole system. You can’t rehabilitate these sort of people, it is their sexual preference and you can’t change anybody’s sexual desires, wether they are legal or not. Well not until Clockwork Orange type of rehab is used.

Well, if that's the case, (and I also believe it is), either don't let them out or expunge them for the safety of those on the outside.

Without labouring the point again, yes MadAdey this is the point i'm making. If after this clarification of my poorly worded reply then feel free to elaborate where and why you disagree with my opinion.

It not just about the safety of the public though, it’s also about the message it’s sends to the victims. I imagine they won’t receive any comfort from the fact he’s out under strict licence conditions. The fact he’s out after 8 years is a smack in the face to them!

Just throwing this into the mix..
How do people feel about murderers being let out after 8/9 years..?

If I was the family of a murder victim I'd be annoyed and aggrieved that the system thought such a short period of time is recompense for a lifetime of hurt and loss for the crime. As for this John Worboys case, is it just me or is there an air of inevitability that he'll simply reoffend and police will have to catch him, and go through the process again. It's the same with Jon Venables (or whatever his third alias is/was) who is now charged with child porn offences and apparently not scared of getting drunk and telling all of sundry who he really is and what he did. Why does the state then need to pay for yet another identity. Three strikes and your done and if people know who you are and it causes you problems then tough

How many criminals convicted and sentenced ever actually serve their full sentence these days. Very few I’d hazard a guess at. The government want to the age thenchance on letting them out early to save themselves money.

absolutely no-one in this thread has brought the perpretrators colour of skin or religion into this - is this coz he is white???

if this guy was a person of colour, or muslim, or both, then this thread would have been closed a long long time ago.

surely we must find out if this guy is a Christian (or brought up a Christian) or did it in the name of Christ and then deport him ???

No....

didnt think so

That's because it's totally irrelevant!

At least in the eyes of the law!

And it would be against the law for it to be any other way!

Agree with Foxy, totally irrelevant post, stirring the pot at best,
Nobody has bought race or religion into this thread, because it has nothing to do with it.

I think you can speculate (and no more) that Worboys might still be in prison if he was black. That might be a fair comment but, yes, tangential to this thread.

That's a depressing post. I think there has been universal condemnation of this man getting out. Only the parole board and those who he had to convince within the system think the decision is correct. The rest of the country believe he should be behind bars for the rest of his live. I don't see this as a matter of race, I really don't. It's stretching matters to bring race into this, imo.

Indeed, it’s a different issue. I think I said that.

Hans none of what you have said is relevant to this sicko. To suggest that the colour of someone's skin or there religion would of closed down this thread is a bit odd to say the least.
As you mention the colour of skin and religion, The vast majority of sexual
" grooming" gangs are of Asian origin, predominantly Pakistani. This also is appalling but is a totally seperate issue altogether.
