Rant!

I love golf and have been playing it for 3 years.
I enjoy practicing, honing my skills, working hard to get better.
I am fortunate that my hard work has been paying off and my scores have been coming down.
I get to play golf most weekends and live in Surrey so I get to play at numerous (and excellent, thank you Surrey) courses.
I play at busy courses where there is often slow play but I really enjoy the company of my playing partners and the weather is incredible at the moment so I thoroughly enjoy the time being outdoors.
I love watching golf, even though it takes a long time to do so and I love talking about golf even though there are many people out there that don't

But, I don't understand what the word rant means.
apologies if I have misinterpreted and this thread isn't what you were hoping it would be ...
