Rain

After playing the last 3-4 rounds in boiling hot conditions I must admit I loved my 9 holes in a light drizzle this morning.

Also at my club the fairways were rock hard in the past few weeks and I really don't like that.

Light drizzle? By the time I got to the 3rd, the heavens opened and in 10 minutes dropped about 30mm of rain. Every fairway was turned into a muddy stream and every green had deep puddles in the hollows. Then the sun came out and dried it up in about 1/2 an hour. Bizarrely, it seemed to help my game....

Had a few showers in today's round, but the last while on the 17th scared the pants of me! Thunder and lightning less than a mile away. Shame as i play off around 24 and was having a decent knock, just missed a hole in 1 on our difficult 175 yard 17th by 3 foot past and a foot wide, then missed the birdie putt with the brown trousers of lightning/birdie chance DOH! We ran for our lives and didn't finish, I think it's safe to say i dont like rain!

Showers this afternoon but nothing this evening. Wished I'd gone out and played

Showers??!! It was like someone was throwing buckets of water at me like in the Tiswas days!!!
