Of course, the EG Championship Department is only concerned with elite competitions and in particular only when there are oversubscriptions.
Yes but the way they deal with the oversubscribed comps is by saying GP cards are not as good as comp cards.

But why wouldn't an elite competition organiser want the best tournament players and so place higher value on demonstrated tournament scoring ability? The same principal simply doesn't apply in a open handicap competition.

So GP cards are second class scores but only in elite comps.
the guy who comes second in a club comp to a bandit it’s just tough.

I joined 35 or so Handicap Committee members/Club Managers today at a WHS/Handicaps Seminar for East Riding Golf Clubs. One of the speakers sits on the EG iGolf Handicap Review Committee. They stated that they carry out the iGolf handicap reviews diligently. I know the speaker quite well and I can state that their personal integrity (and Golf knowledge) is outstanding. I came away reassured that the iGolf scheme is properly monitored.
