As many of you know I work in the golf club business now.

I have found out this morning that American Golf has a surplus of Taylormade R7 Draw Irons.

They are going to sell a 3-PW set for £229 which is over 50% off the RRP of £449 to clear there decks.

I never go to American Golf so this deal may already be in place but I believe it is hitting the shops in May.

Its a crazy low price for such a quality set so if your thinking of investing in a new set of irons it might be worth hanging on for another couple of weeks.

Currently £329 4-SW at my local AG.

Wouldn't want the PW or SW.....might like the rest though for £230.... :)

i have them and i really like them :) but the thing is i got them for free :) because my dads mate work for taylormade so i can get them for free

They are sweet....I just fear anything with a draw bias a.t.m.

Could be deal of the decade....

AG at Birds Hill have had this offer for a while now. I think they are trying to shift them asap especially as the R7 was supreceded by the Burner and they have now released the 09 version.

If they were the orginal R7 (I loved mine) they really would be the best deal I've seen in ages but sadly the draw bias is a no no for me. If you are struggling though and need the help of the bias the R7 is a great feeling club to hit.

Surely this must be one of the dangers of stocking Taylormade gear, it is replaced so quickly that there is always going to be outdated stock.

Have seen some pretty big price cuts on the Burner XD irons as well has they have been superceded by the Burner Plus and the 09 Burners.
