The black one is just out a matter of weeks but the Stage 2 is still the same price ,that and the Cally X Hot are the worst driver i've ever hit.

it's the Pro's decision, the major distributors in each Marketing area (Internationally) pretty much set the RRP as well - TM simply support that business model (as do Callaway). Ping are obviously at the other end of the spectrum.
it's a common model in many products.

Callaways range is good, the extreme and xhot both deliver the goods. The taylormade stage 2 is very good, a little to light for my liking. R1 is ok, but I do struggle with it, fully open with highest loft works best, but there are better clubs for me. Amp cell and Adams ls. Tour covert is ok.
R1 in the hands of a pro is great and will out preform most drivers, but us average golfers won't notice the claimed. Differences.
Good value now though. Get you wallets out guys.

Just felt dead ,tried both shafts and was poor, my own "gamer" went passed both, now the G20 & 25 are cracking bits of kit

I also didn't like the X Hot when I tried it out-had also heard all good reports about it beforehand but I guess what works for some won't be for all.

i really like the look of the X Hot but when i hit it the thing was soulless
I dont think any driver is worth more than 200 quid full stop when they are mass produced such as they are.

Is the correct answer ,but people still pay it for that elusive 20 yards into the jungle further.
