Is it possible to add a sticky with a link to the R&A rules explorer?

Hopefully it will encourage people to start using it and getting used to it rather than just relying on answers from other people?

By using it they'll soon see that the majority of rulings are fairly easy to find and even the more tricky ones can be found with a bit of straight thinking.

Would post link myself but on iPhone and the explorer is a flash player

Agree, if the Mods could sort that out it would be really good.

Lots of good stuff on there. All the decisions as well as hepful FAQs.

This one is good for people new to the game

Rules quiz is fun too. Three levels of difficulty and the questions change regularly. Always a good test with something to catch you out, especially the esoteric ones on competitions and committee rulings!

Do many people actually browse by sub folder to see stickied threads? I always click on the new posts button (plus, if people want to know the rules, they will get the book from the golf club or go online themselves).
You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink.

So what you're saying is we don't need this new area of the forum

Personally, anyone can look them up or research them but the benefit to this section as I see it would be the debate it generates and the highlighting of rules/decisons we may not have come across as yet, so I'd say keep posting on here but maybe use the link for reference.

Sorry Brendy! I should have been clearer, this was aimed at the OP/general statement to the thread... albeit a good link.

As for your point stickies???:p
The idea would not be to stop any debate.

If the sticky doesn't fit in to the way Brendy uses the forum then it is a pointless thread ;) please remove immediately!!! :)
