Have the opportunity to play here on 27th of this month with a choice of any of the 3 courses. Now,I have played the Kings many a time and love it,also played the PGA a few times and don't care for it but I aint played the Queens yet so may plump for that one.

What is it like?I see it is shorter than the Kings but is it too short?I presume the turf is same as the Kings so should still be fairly dry?

Cheers for any help guys....

queens is beautiful and gorgeous scenery, yes its slightly shorter but makes up for it with some risk and reward holes and great greens, definitly play it, it might become a favourite.
the closing 8 holes are special, take your camera for the 18th as well as others.

Alan,

Queens is my favorite of the 3, it is a little easier than the kings but as said previously its simply stunning.

Don't let the first fool you it's a little bland but it picks up quickly with some fantastic holes.

What time you off at? give me a shout if you fancy a game at Blair either before or after as I'm off that day.

Would love to have John but I am ahem..."working".It's a GCMA seminar followed by an outdoor "seminar" in the afternoon. ;)

Thats the sort of seminar I would like but mine are allways in railway stations, :(
Don't work too hard mate :D

Played it a few years ago. Some great holes, especially its own amen corner section on holes 13 to 15.

The par 5 7th is a great downhill with the prevailing wind coming across you all the way.

My favourite hole on the course was the 10th. Probably one of the most guarded greens i've played to. Ended up on the hillock to the right of the green and had to play a delicate flop down on to the green. Walked away with a bogey and was happy with that!
