putting training aids

Ive had a really bad year putting at one point I couldnt even hit the hole from 4 foot.
Ive had lessons, tried different things an swore a lot.
so over the winter have decided to get a training aid and practice indoors alot.
so the question is has anyone bought or tried any really good putting training aids lately and if what were they and where did you get them from.

i have the `dave peltz` putting mirror ..excellent for shoulder alignment and gettin ur eyes over the ball ..but there`s lots of similar aids out there ..try ebay etc

I guess I'm biased as I'm the inventor so I'd say buy the V-Easy and at £19.99 is well worth it.
Maybe ask Santa for one.

I'll give a shout for the V-Easy to, I have to say 5 minutes on the practice green before the game helps ALOT!

Apart from the v-easy which is brilliant for both chipping and putting (I even posted a review under the advent calendar if you want more information) I'd highly recommend this to help with your putting.

It gives you everything you need, can be used indoors (ideal today) and out and covers all the basis. One caveat I'd add though is that if your fundamentals for putting are completely wrong you may be better off getting a one off putting lesson.I had one last year and it was a revelation and totally transformed my stroke and saved me loads of shots especially from six foot and under

It would be remiss of me not to reply to such a thread.

I would always advocate having a lesson, but it's what you do afterwards that makes all the difference. With that in mind, I'd probably suggest the V-Easy as the first port of call. This will help your stroke. Please see the review in the reviews section of this forum.

Secondly, work on the set up and alignment. A simple ball alignment aid helps massively here. After that the Pathfinder or Pathfinder System, or the Yes Putting Mirror would be advantagous.

If after that you're finding that you're still 'S'ing your putter, try something like the Perfect Plane.

It would also be a good idea to do some distence control drills. Nothing special required for this.

I've tried to narrow down the choice from all the products that we offer, as I agree that there is almost too much choice!
