Putting- Reverse Grip

I have been known to use this grip. Not often and not permanently, but yes, why not?

Faldo suggests trying it (unless I'm wrong) in one of his books. I sometimes try it on a medium length one I fear I'm not going to make. It seems to take the pressure off somehow, so if I make it it's a bonus.

Been tinkering with my putting grip as I'm not putting well. Lacking distance control especially on the long ones and the short ones I use to be really good at. Putting it down to a lack of practice and swapping between two putters. Picked one and putting the work in on the stroke again now

Played with the new reverse grip for the first time today, Thankfully the greens were in much better shape than last week.

What a revelation, scored 32 points which is my best by far for some while, round of 93 which is my 4th best ever.
the putting was red hot, no 3 putts 5 1 putts and 13 2 putts.

it just seemed to be better all round

Now just got to work on the rest of my game, oh buy the way, my playing partner (father in law Society hcap 41) scored 36 points

But im not complaining

Fragger :)

When i had a putting lesson last year my pro was banging on about it, for me it just feels un-natural althought he's explanation makes it work in theory. May have another bash at it in the near future
