only place I really know that proper custom fits putters is clays range in north Wales. They have a proper indoor putting studio and a proper club builder/maker who measures everythin and builds the club unique to your.

Google clays range north Wales. Or wait for Vig to come in ( he be in soon ) he's been fitted there but not for a putter.

Does your computer not do google?........there's loads of pros offering C_F. If they offer Ping, they'll do C_F putters.

I must admit it would of been the first thing I would of done is google.

He did say he cant find any, anywhere yet RGUK seems to have found plenty, only took me 2 mins to do a search in Milton keynes and a few came up.

Maybe he could of done a bit of research first and asked for opinions on the ones he found.

I dont mind helping people out as I'm sure RGUK doesn't either but at the same time he has been educated in the search area too :D

A couple of forums I use will not entertain anyone with the same kind of querie unless you have exhausted old threads first or done your research on the net before hand.

I think as a bunch, we are overly helpful! :D

By the way, Welcome to the forum Tony, great name :D

Ouch! This guy is asking a genuine question and looking to benefit from our collective experience - a tad harsh....

Yes, I know....a bit harsh. I wasn't trying to suggest it wasn't worth asking....of course it is, but as the OP suggested that he'd drawn a blank, I found it odd. It's not often you do a search, make some phone calls, and come up with nothing.....there are plenty of golf shops/club fitters/teaching pros you can find anywhere surely?

I live in a small city and there's 2 or 3 pros and 3 shops that do this sort of thing. Failing that, the chain shops offer all sorts of C_F services, some good, some maybe not.

Agreed RGUK - maybe an "I've looked and found this, waddya reckon?" would have been a better intro...

Welcome aboard Tony!

Clays have an indoor putting studio. The putting guru told me there were only two of this type in the coumtry, the other being at St Andrews.
Ping do CF as others have said.

Thanks some of you for your help. As for everyone else, theres putter fitting( trying a few in the shop) and putter fitting using a SAM putlab, If you bothered to read my question you would see it said " could you recommend anywhere".Google is a search engine not a 'recommendation engine'. I play a good standard of golf and wanted a custom fit putter. Some of the attitudes of people on this forum are questionable as new people should be helped and welcomed. hopefully you will consider this the next time someone asks a question.

Tony, Please dont take any offence from any of the comments cause believe me, we are MORE than willing to go the extra mile to help ANYONE who genuinly wants our advice or views etc.

However, after asking for recommendations, (which were first provided) you did say and I quote

i just cant seem to find anywhere.

I think RGUK and my self at the time probably found it hard to believe you wouldn't be able to find anything 'anywhere'

So as Google is the most common place people on here search for anything, I think it was a tad unbelievable you had no luck on there so I guess we presumed you didn't try it.

Custom fitting for putters can be found all over the country, maybe not all to the same standard, but you didn't state what level of custom fit you were after.

Hope I have cleared this up without putting(no pun) you off and do hope you'll stick around long enough to offer us some advice in return!

:)

Tony, I can only apologise if I caused offence in any way.
I don't personally think my attitude is "questionable" since I often go out of my way to help people with queries and club experience, within the boundaries of my what I know.

I snapped a little, and probably wouldn't have done so if your OP had read something like, "I've found these guys, but I don't know if I can trust them or am guaranteed a good service".....

Google is not a recommendation engine, sure, but sometimes you've just gotta take the plunge and see where it leads. I've found some truly excellent companies and services using the 'net and often ask for an "approval" on a forum, of course.

I'm sorry if I sounded unhelpful or a bit of a banker, not intended..... :)
