Today is the 1st day of the yearly 54hole Pro am I enter every year.

Newquay today, st Enedoc tomorrow and Trevose to finish on Wednesday. Greeted at breakfast this morning by some true 'Links Weather' as 35mph winds crash the trees around outside!!

Time to wish I didn't hit a stock fade. :(

4bbb stableford, best 2 to count on each hole. Group h'caps of Pro, 2, 3 & 9 - any score of over 68 points will be good today I reckon!

I'll try to post pics later if it stays dry.

Have a good 'un. It's blowing a gale up here at the moment so can imagine what it's like down the West Country!
Playing in an Open on Thursday at Blatchington. Not a links course but very exposed. Hoping the weather improves a bit for then.

good luck looking at the forecast its not promising! hope it clears wind eases and rain stops or you could be battered bruised and soggy by wednesday evening.

I'd bet that with a good wind blowing Newquay would be a tough prospect.

I was there last September when the remnants of the Hurricane in the USA was blowing over. There was some incredibly strong wind blowing strait off the shore and golf looked very difficult for those that were daft enough to try.

35mph.

A mere breeze on the links. Punch away, punch and drill is the order of the day.

79 is top score at the moment, not too far off.

It was a crosswind on 16 of the holes today, no help at all. 4 GIR tells the story.

Links course members.....I salute you!! :)

Played St Enedoc & Trevose last year, truly wonderful course.
Played them in a 3 club wind (breeze).
I found a good thin/top with a 3 iron worked well .

Slime.

St Enedoc today which, I'd say, is at least 3 shots tougher even on a calm day.

I'd take 68 points right now, wind is a bit stronger than yesterday!!
