After getting some good advice of James (justone) about the basics for this swing and someone else posting a very good link to a show how this swing works,(sorry cant remember who posted this but thanks anyway).I have been practising for around three weeks now and today I played and scored a PB of 82.

Now im not saying this is all down to S+T as ive yet to master the driver and woods which im finding much harder and today just tried my "normal"
swing with these clubs, and to be honest my driving and putting was good today, but only having tried this swing for a short time I must say its very encouraging.

What im finding with the irons is there seems to be a more fluid swing and it is helping me to "get through the ball better" also there is for me less thoughts about the swing which I think is also a good thing.

So I would say anyone having problems with there game why not go to the range and give it a try.

I've said before there is much to admire about a lot of it. I know both Murph and Justone have both said it is the driver and fairway woods that really take the longest to get right so I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it. It's great that you've shot a PB and I'm sure a lot of it is to do with you having a swing, whether it be out and out S&T or a deviation from its true principles, that you trust. Well done - great shooting

Thats a good point Homer about weather its a all out S+T swing, all I can say its very differant from the swing I was useing before, ie putting more weight on your left side and getting your hands well infront of the ball.

Thanks

After hitting some horrer drives I did improve a little but by no means good.

I think the problem is as I understand it im not "lifting" my body on the follow through and by doing this hitting weak shots.

At the moment im not sure if I will ever be good enough to master this swing with the driver/woods and maybe just incorparate the swing with my irons.

Maybe if I really practiced alot I could get better with the driver but as the season is just getting underway I would rather spend my time playing, just been pleased to see a improvment and the game has been alot more enjoyable :D
