Glad Cantlay didn't win. So, so dull to watch. Doesn't crack a smile, plods around the place. Depressing.
He is one of those that totally fails to understand that golf is in the entertainment business. Awful to watch.Glad Cantlay didn't win. So, so dull to watch. Doesn't crack a smile, plods around the place. Depressing.
He is the golf equivalent of a contract killer. He is one of those that totally fails to understand that golf is in the entertainment business. Awful to watch.

For him it isn’t entertainment. It’s a payday. He is one of those that totally fails to understand that golf is in the entertainment business. Awful to watch.
What do you expect the natives to do about it?Good for Matsuyama, looks to be fully over his injuries. Wasn't sure if Zalatoris could come back to similar level after his, so a good showing there also.
Note that 3 of last 4 PGAT events have been won by overseas players - probably a good thing in the grand scheme of golf, but wonder if a few natives are becoming restless![]()
I expect nothing, gokfer. You?What do you expect the natives to do about it?
Nothing, but I have no fears of them becoming restless!I expect nothing, gokfer. You?
Me neither. Probably rebalance over the next few weeks.Nothing, but I have no fears of them becoming restless!
Not a shame at all. I don't miss players that are not there, I concentrate on the players that are there. He is the biggest name in the sport still by a country mile
But even when he wasn’t playing the place looked very busy and great to see the crowds watching some great golf yesterday unfold - brilliant to see players like Matsyuma and Zalatoris back challenging
It is a shame that there are some golfers missing these long standing events at some of the best courses in the world
Correct, big name golfers are always missing. This is just as it has always been.
Yes, I think the variability of golf rounds, even from the most consistent in the world, shows why you really need a high number of the top names in the field to have a good chance of seeing the best contending against the best. That way, you still have a good shoot out between the golfers we want to see, even if Rory is on an off week, and Spieth is shooting himself in the feet. Its just the nature of golf. Tennis for example is very different. Even if just a handful of top names, they will filter through to dice it between them at the end. Golf need depth, and needs top quality depth to be at its best as a spectator sport. Not a shame at all. I don't miss players that are not there, I concentrate on the players that are there.
Pro golf doesn't have an asterisk for tournaments with non-players. You can only play against the players in front of you.
Great win Hideki!
Charlie Woods is going to try to qualify for next week's PGA Tour event..
He plays a pre-qualifier tomorrow and the top 25 advance to the Monday Qualifier which will include Korn Ferry players and lesser PGAT pros.....
Top 4 start the main event
Wow.

Don't....just don't...If you thought Tiger coverage was bad, imagine what it would be like if Charlie qualified.
Special Masters invite anyone?
You're not wronghope he has the ability in him shoot -8/-9 to try and get in. monday qualifiers, if he gets there, are horrible to get through
Is a shame there isn't much else on viaplay of interest (to me) or I may have dipped in. The trial doesn't include sports. There is a good field in that Asian Tour international series event, 2 million purse as well.
