It needed one of them to be aggressive on their second shot. Unfortunately, that lost him the trophy. Could have won it for him.
Never understand those who slag successful sports people down.

Mainly just jealously - it’s more enjoyable for some to tear others down when they are successful
When someone wins a tournament 9/10 it’s just because someone played better than others and we should just celebrate it
Some great golf today and it was a shame to see Lagergren going into the water because he played some brilliant golf on the back 9

I wasn't watching it but where was this supposed bottlejob?? It looks like he shot 6 under par with an eagle at the last to force a play-off, which he then won?
If you get kebabs delivered then fair enough. Well done Rory for winning. Even though it was expected.

There wasn’t at any time a bottle job - he was leading and then someone had an eagle and birdie to jump ahead of him so Rory had to eagle the last to force the playoff

Didn’t enjoy all the ‘hit it in the water’ shouts aimed at Lageregren in the play off caught in the effects mikes from the ‘knowledgeable and enthusiastic’ crowds.

Yeah bad taste, although I would say on the whole the crowds here and in Ireland in particular are pretty respectful, especially seeing good golf. You’ll always get the eejits though. Shame as all it takes is a few shouts picked up on a mic to bring a crowd of thousands down with them.
