Problems with IPad Pro.Any experts

I have an iPad Pro 2 years old. On the phone to Apple for around an hour. They wanted £814.64 to look at it and repair. it was working then just stopped charging but was charging spasmodically. Tonight it was @83% when we went out but down to 40% when we returned after 3 hours.

I took it to a repair shop nearby. Guy was not really interested, spent 20 seconds plugged in to something and said it needed a new port. Cost £190 which is not an issue. Does a new port seem reasonable after 2 years and wondered whether there are thoughts please?

I doubt it. John Lewis would give you a new device up to 24 months from purchase.

I'd get another quote

Mrs H had a similar problem with her IPad. Took it to our local geeky repair shop. New battery fitted, €110, sorted.

Nearest one is 3 hours round trip but appreciate your suggestion
