For cleaning drive and paths (and possibly grooves in golf clubs!)

Looks like you can spend from £50 to £500 !
What is worth paying and any recommendations please?

I got a basic Karcher one from Argos, ideal for what you want, about £70.00, had it over 5 years with no issues.
There is some bad press over Karcher ones, but as I've put, mine has been great and no issues.

I've got the Karcher K2, great for the car with all the attachments, use for the business also when cleaning drives after we've rendered, more than powerful enough.

Paid only £50 from Screw Fix.

I have used Nilfisk for years, choosing them over Karcher due to reliability and construction issues. The main thing is choose a metal pump one. Plastic pumps are more prone to failure and very unlikely to last as long, especially if you use it a lot. Plastic pumps can be in the cheaper models.

As the price goes up, so does the flow rate, pressure ratings and amount of metal connections.

Over a ton minimum should see you right with a decent one.

If you had asked me two years ago i could of knicked you one from the pit. You would of given the Polish car washers and bin washers a run for there money. Mine is bolted to the wall in me man cave and is a beast. If it can clean a weeks old coal encrusted snot off a wall it will clean owt.

Have a look at the makita range, I've got one and it's excellent cost less than £150 and perfect for washing the driveway, car and van.

In my opinion you can't look any further than the Karcher K4. It'll do everything from your car to your clubs, and it's not too expensive. I'm a fan of the Nilfisk range too, in particular the C130 model. My old man recently bought this one and it made his patio like new in a weekend. Ultimately though it comes down to how much you want to spend. The K4 is about £160 and the C130 is £170, but of course you can get cheaper. Here's a useful comparison review - hope this helps!

I had a SIMPSON Cleaning MSH3125-S Gas Pressure Washer with Axial Cam Pump. Its design, color, and works were so marvelous. I loved this tool so much. I used this pressure washer for three years. Then my wife wanted to buy another one! Then I bought the Ivation 2200 PSI Electric Pressure Washer. This washer is also comfortable to use. i like it also. If you want to learn more, you can visit this site for details.

I have had one for a number years but is has seen very little use.

On the tarmac drive it loosened too many of the stones in the tarmac.

On the paving at the back of the house it loosened and removed the concrete between the slabs.

For car washing it was nowhere near as good as a commercial pressure washer.

The best use I found for it in recent years was to power flush the central heating radiators and pipes.
