apparently back in the 70's lee trevino walked off after one hole complaining that the greens were way too fast lol!!!i think back then the 11th was the 1st hole.
I saw the one where Choi putted away from the hole and it came back at almost 90 degree's.... sod that
as said though, nice to see them struggle. Radar was having a right dig at US team in the 1st round for getting their approaches wrong and leaving downhill putts
Would love to have a forum meet on greens @ 13/14 on stimp, 20 points would probably win hahaha
Just seen a clip on SSNews
Norman poured water from a bottle onto the green and it just rolled away.
Didn't soak in at all.
Apparently it's hard holding a green with a wedge - we'd all be stuffed!!
I think it is great to see greens as fast and as undulating as these.
The sandbelt courses all look incredible and I would love to play some of them but it's a bit far for our lads jolly!
Seriously though, when you see how great courses like RM are it really is a travesty that there is not a Major held over there, the only time a huge group of top golfers play in Oz is an event like this, even the Oz Open only gets a handful of top ranked golfers.
The only downside of a Major being held there would be a bloody late night watching it!
